Teaching Personnel are currently in need of Learning Support Assistants to work in Somerset. Areas we currently work with are Yeovil, Street, Wells, Frome, Taunton, Templecombe and surrounding areas.
The Learning Support Assistant's (LSA) main role is to provide support for pupils with a statement of special educational needs. The LSA will ensure that pupils can integrate as fully as possible in the activities prepared by the class Teacher.
Our partnership schools cater for pupils with varying needs including moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex needs, autism, sensory impairments along with social, emotional and mental health needs. As your role will involve working with young people that have special needs, it is essential you have experience supporting children or adults that have SEN or present challenging behaviour. It would be beneficial if you have a good understanding of Autism.
