Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant

A welcoming Primary SEN School in Preston is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs in a nurturing and structured environment.

Location: Preston
Contract: Agency – Temp to Perm
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience

About the Role:
You will support pupils aged 4–11 with a variety of needs, including autism, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, global developmental delay, and complex learning needs. Support may be delivered on a one-to-one basis, within small groups, or in the classroom.

Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to individual pupils and small groups
• Assist the class teacher with classroom activities, planning and resource preparation
• Deliver targeted interventions to support academic, social and emotional progress
• Use positive behaviour management strategies and support emotional regulation
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families

Requirements:
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting children with SEN within a school or specialist setting
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to supporting pupil development and wellbeing
