Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant 

A supportive Primary SEN School in Preston is looking for a motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs and is looking to develop their experience within a specialist setting.

Location: Preston
Contract: Agency – Temp to Perm
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience

About the Role:
You will work with pupils aged 4–11 who have a range of needs, including autism, SEMH, communication difficulties and developmental delays. Support will be provided in small groups, one-to-one or within the classroom environment.

Responsibilities:
• Support pupils with their learning, communication and personal development
• Assist the class teacher with classroom tasks and preparation of resources
• Help deliver interventions under the guidance of teaching staff
• Use positive behaviour strategies and promote emotional wellbeing
• Build trusting relationships with pupils and contribute to a positive learning environment

Requirements:
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting children, ideally within an SEN or primary setting
• A patient, flexible and nurturing approach
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• A genuine commitment to supporting children’s progress and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
