Level 2 Teaching Assistant with SEN Experience – Wigan (WN4)
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £89.44–£115 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary with the potential to become permanent
Location: Ashton-In-Makerfield, Wigan

Are you a Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ashton-In-Makerfield, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact by providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

The school prides itself on its strong ethos of inclusion and support for all learners, particularly those with SEN.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
  • Has previous experience supporting pupils with SEN (including ASC, ADHD, or SEMH).
  • Can provide patient, compassionate, and consistent support for pupils.
  • Is confident supporting learning in class and through targeted interventions.
  • Demonstrates good communication skills and a flexible, team-oriented approach.
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
