Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wigan seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

About the role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teachers to support the learning and wellbeing of children across the primary age range. Your role will be vital in helping us create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils’ learning in class and in small groups
• Assisting with preparation and delivery of educational activities
• Supporting children with additional needs or learning difficulties
• Helping to maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Contributing to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress
• Encouraging positive behaviour and social development

What we’re looking for:

• A genuine passion for working with children
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Patience, kindness, and a positive attitude
• Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
