Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA looking to make a real difference in a supportive primary school community?
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a primary school based in Wigan from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role in an OFSTED rated ‘Good’ school. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same!
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering planned lessons and interventions across a range of subjects and year groups (EYFS to KS2)
- Leading small group or one-to-one support sessions
- Supporting teachers with planning and classroom management
- Providing cover supervision when required
- Assisting in the monitoring and assessment of pupil progress
We are looking for someone who:
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Has experience working with primary-aged pupils
- Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills
- Has a proactive and flexible approach
- Is committed to the well-being and progress of every child

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
