Part-time Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Part-time (Monday - Friday, 8.45 am - 1pm)

Salary: £12.84 - £13.00 per hour
A primary school within Merseyside are seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team and support a small group of pupils within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance to pupils with sensory and speech and language needs, as well as offering support in personal care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to a small group of pupils within EYFS with ASD.
- Assist in implementing strategies to support sensory and speech and language needs.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills in supporting pupils with ASD.
- Offer personal care assistance to pupils as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Prior experience supporting pupils with ASD and addressing sensory and speech and language needs.
- Experience in providing personal care support within a school setting.
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and understanding in working with pupils with additional needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Working Hours:
This is a part-time position, with working hours from 8.45 am to 1pm, Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
