Level 2 and Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistants

Level 2 and 3 qualified Teaching Assistants are required on an adhoc supply basis, across Primary Schools in Swanage and the surrounding areas.

We are looking for dedicated, fun-loving and self-motivated individuals to bring their skills and talents to the children in Primary Schools and Nurseries.

As a teaching assistant, you will be working closely with the class teacher, following their instructions and assisting them when needed.

Your duties will include:

  • Organising materials and facilitating the learning process for each child
  • Helping to guide children through self-directed activities, allowing them to develop at their own pace
  • Creating a nurturing, stimulating and safe learning environment.

You may also be required to undertake administration tasks such as handing out/collecting papers, photocopying, some light marking, putting up/taking down displays, etc.

The ideal candidate:

  • Will be a positive influence to the children you support even if only for a day
  • Have a strong work ethic and take pride in your presentation, attendance and time keeping
  • Will go above and beyond to ensure you build relationships with staff, parents and children
  • Be mindful to ensure that the children you support have a positive learning experience
  • Are able to recognise the child's needs & adapt the learning accordingly to ensure children thrive
  • Promote positive behaviour always
  • Engage with all children and boost their self-esteem
  • Will have a sound understanding of the term 'Safe Guarding' and know the differences of safeguarding Children and yourself whilst in post.

The successful candidates must hold a Level 2/3 NVQ/CACHE minimum and must have experience working within a primary school environment within the past two years.
