A large Academy secondary school based a couple of miles from the centre of Oxford is recruiting for English graduates to join their team from September to perform several duties across their English department.
The opportunity to join this particular school is exciting for any English graduate looking to build upon current experience with young people or for aspiring teachers!
What the role is going to involve...
- Sometimes stepping up to lead English cover lessons when the teacher is absent, involving taking leadership of the entire class
- Providing general support across KS3-4 English lessons
- Delivering and adapting small group intervention sessions with Y7 pupils who need catch up and boosters to get them back on their target level
What types of experience will work well...
- English degree or relevant qualification
- Previous experience working 1:1 or in small group situations with young people
- Experience tutoring
- Experience or qualifications in Public Speaking or situations where you have addressed large groups/crowds
- Experience as an Instructor in any subject or activity
