Job description

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Subject Specialist Intervention Learning Support Assistants in Liverpool/Wirral Secondary schools!

As a Subject Specialist Intervention Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a vital role in providing targeted support to students who may be struggling in particular subjects. Your expertise and dedication will help students unlock their full potential and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in subjects where they require additional assistance.
  • Develop tailored intervention plans to address individual learning needs and goals.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to align support strategies with curriculum objectives.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Create engaging learning activities and resources to reinforce key concepts and facilitate understanding.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and self-esteem.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary school students, preferably in an educational support capacity (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in one or more core curriculum areas (e.g., Mathematics, English, Science).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and Teachers.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome academic challenges.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and accommodate varying learning styles.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, teaching assistance, or related fields (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
