Learning Support Mentor

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of an outstanding secondary school in Cornwall to recruit a Learning Support Mentor.

The school have a great reputation locally and are renowned for their supportive and nurturing environment. They are looking for a Learning Support Mentor to join them on a full time basis from January 2018.

This role is to work with small groups of learners who require additional help and support. You will be working with the children to deliver bespoke lessons across English, Maths, Science, ICT and Humanities. The work will be set by a qualified teacher and you will deliver the work and assist the children to achieve their learning objectives. You will also help the children with their emotional, life and social skills.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally be educated to degree level and have experience of supporting learners. If you have particular experience in the SEN area, including ASD and Speech and Language development, this would be advantageous.

This is a full time role on a temporary to permanent basis, to begin in January 2018. Interviews will be taking place in December.
