Role: Specialist Learning Support Assistant

Pay: ÂŁ55 - ÂŁ65 p/d

Start: Immidiate starts for Adhoc work OR Sept 19 start for Long term opportunities

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a number of academies across Nottingham who are looking to recruit Learning Support Assistants.

As a LSA you will be providing support to pupils within school in accordance with school policies and procedures.

Duties (not fully inclusive)

  • Providing general support for whole class learning activities, or supporting individuals or small groups of pupils.
  • Support the teacher with the delivery of planned whole class learning activities
  • To work with small groups or individual pupils, providing feedback on their engagement in activities and their achievement against the desired learning objectives
  • To observe and feed back to the teacher on pupil performance and behaviour, taking action as appropriate in line with relevant school policies
  • To support the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of pupils, including contributing ideas and suggestions to support planning, to meet their development needs
  • To support pupils to improve their numeracy and literacy skills through focused learning activities and more generally across the curriculum.

  • Learning mentor in secondary environment
  • Prison officers/ tutors
  • Graduates from relevant disciplines (Psychology, sociology)

What you will need to apply for this role:

  • Enhanced (Child Work Force) DBS or be willing to apply for one
  • 2 Recent References
