Job Description: Sport Teaching Assistant
Location: Cardiff
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: From £93 per day
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sport Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible to be able to support ALN children in a specalist SEN provision using sports and physical education techniques. The provision deals with children aged anywhere between 3 to 19, so being comfortable supporting all ages is crucial. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about sports and want to make a positive impact on students’ educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will provide structured, long-term support for pupils with a range of needs, including; Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and Speech & Language difficulties
- Behaviour regulation and emotional development strategies
- 1:1 and small-group learning interventions to support learning and engagement
- Classroom support in partnership with teachers and SENCOs
- Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic progress
- Supporting sport and physical education activities where appropriate
Requirements:
- EWC Registration (we can help with this)
- Enhanced DBS and registered with the Update Service (we will help with this process)
- 2 professional referee's

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
