Learning Support Assistant
South Liverpool

  • September 2019 start date
  • 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, Term time only
  • £9.50 per hour
  • Gain valuable school based experienced required to progress on to a career in teaching
  • C or above required in GCSE English/Maths (or equivalent)

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a well organised, skills and professional person to support students within our client school. If you are passionate about young people, enjoy variety in you role and thrive on working in a busy school environment - this is a great opportunity for you. The successful Learning Support Assistant will join our client school on a full time basis from September 2019 and will be required for the remainder of the academic year. (19/20)

We are looking for an individual who has experience supporting secondary aged students in an educational environment. Youth Work, Sports Coaching or transferable experience would be sufficient for this role.

Working as part of our client schools support team, you will be working in a variety of roles and departments. We are therefore looking for someone who has a flexible attitude to work and will be able to use their own initiative to react appropriately to different situations throughout the school day.

The role will involve providing classroom cover in the short term absence of teachers, managing behaviour appropriately in line with the schools behaviour policy. Providing 1:1 and small group interventions and classroom support across departments. Assisting in the preparation and planning of lessons and lesson resources.

Our client school is located in South Liverpool and has over 1000 pupils on roll. The school has an inner city catchment area providing education for a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds. Due to its inner city location, the school has excellent connections to universities, employers and a number of fantastic opportunities. This is an exciting time to join our client school as it embarks on its journey towards becoming an Outstanding school. The school has a large state-of-the-art building and a large car park accessible for all staff members.
