Qualified Secondary Teacher – Birmingham (Hay Green Lane)
Supply Bank Education is working in partnership with a secondary school located on Hay Green Lane, Birmingham, to recruit a passionate and committed Qualified Secondary Teacher for a full-time, long-term role.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher who is keen to make a meaningful impact within secondary education and support students in reaching their full academic and personal potential.
The Role
As a Qualified Secondary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across the secondary curriculum while creating a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment. You will work closely with the wider school team to promote student progress, manage behaviour effectively, and support overall student development.
This role is ideal for educators who are enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to providing outstanding teaching and learning experiences.

- Contract: Full-Time / Long-Term
- Salary: Dependent on experience
- Start Date: September 2026

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across the secondary curriculum
- Plan, prepare, and assess students’ work in line with school expectations
- Maintain strong classroom management to ensure a positive learning environment
- Support students’ academic progress and personal development
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals where required
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
- Contribute positively to the wider school community

What We’re Looking For
- UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young people
- Ability to deliver engaging lessons across a range of abilities
- A professional, proactive, and flexible approach
- Strong commitment to safeguarding
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK (e.g. British Passport or valid share code)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
- Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
