Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant who has previously worked with Children with Special Educational Needs, such as Autism (High and Low Functioning), ADHD, Social and Emotional Mental Health, Global Delay and/or Behavioural difficulties.
The position available is within a Primary school in Roath (Cardiff) who are looking to appoint an additional support staff member to provide intervention across several year groups for children special needs. Though the school is looking to appoint a candidate with good knowledge of the education system and of SENs, they have confirmed that they will also consider applications from Graduates who are looking to start their career in education, depending on their background.
The role :
You will be providing support on a curricular basis with English, Maths and Science (potentially also with languages, art and music if your background enables you to do so) in a one-to-one or small group setting. It is vital for you to be patient, caring and have a nurturing personality to make the children feel confident and trusting. Candidates with tutoring backgrounds will be considered. Knowledge of the British curriculum would be beneficial.
What else?
- You must be in possession of an up-to-date CHILD WORKFORCE DBS (registered on the Update Service) or willing to apply for one (full assistance provided).
- We are only able to accept applications from UK residents with a proven right to work in the UK. You must living in Cardiff and/or have plans to move to Cardiff in the near future and/or be willing to travel to the Cardiff area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
