Full time Teaching and Learning Support position with pupils aged 11-18 in both Mainstream and SEN

We are working on behalf of secondary schools in Newcastle to recruit for committed individuals with experience of supporting young people. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to support pupils with SEN aged 11-16.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Have experience working with children and young people with SEN
• Have a confident and friendly personality
• Remain calm in stressful situations
• Show a genuine interest of working with children and young people

The successful Teaching Assistant will support students in class across the subject areas, and deliver targeted interventions to students on a 1:1 basis during lessons and break times. There is the option to start immediately but most probably the position will be to begin in September 2019.

The school is located in Newcastle and currently has over 1200 pupils on roll. Students are well behaved and the school prides it self on its inclusive and caring atmosphere.
