Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are the UK leading agency for education recruitment and we are seeking a hard working, empathetic, enthusiastic and confident Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who have additional needs. 

The school is smaller than average and caters specifically for those who can no longer remain in mainstream education. Some of the students in this school display challenging behaviours and candidates must be confident in their classroom management skills in order to de-escalate any challenging behaviours which occur. 

The candidate applying for this role must be; experienced in working with children who display challenging behaviours, experienced in working with adults or children who have additional needs and be willing to work on a 1:1 or small group basis with children who struggle to engage in education. 

The role will be full time and school hours are roughly 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Thursday with a 3pm finish on a Friday. 

The candidate applying for this role must be available within the next 4 - 6 weeks and be seeking a long term role with the possibility of becoming permanent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
