Providing 1:1 support to secondary school pupils who require additional learning support to reach their full potential.

  • Full-time Learning Support Assistant.
  • To start in April 2022.
  • Supporting identified pupils who require additional guidance with specific subjects.
  • Competitive rates of pay.

Roles and Responsibilities

-          Work alongside identified students who require 1:1 guidance during lessons to allow them to meet their target grades.

-          Helping to plan activities for pupils at various levels of learning ability.

-          Ensuring class teachers have the support they enquire within the classroom.

The school is in Salford and is easily accessible via the A580/M60 and several public transport links from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Stretford, central Manchester, and Prestwich.

Some pupils have additional learning needs such as dyslexia and dyspraxia and therefore, more focussed attention with subjects such as English and Maths is highly beneficial to their attainment grades.

Any experience working with individuals who have additional learning needs is desirable as these skills will be highly transferrable. Our client school would like candidates that are familiar with supporting pupils also known to show challenging behaviour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
