Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £85 – £100 per day
Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Term-Time Only, Temp to Perm
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner)

We’re working with a number of inclusive and welcoming schools across West Yorkshire who are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join their teams this academic year.

About the Role:

As an LSA, you’ll work closely with teachers and SEND staff to support pupils who may need extra help in class. This includes supporting learning in small groups or 1:1, helping students stay on task, encouraging engagement, and promoting confidence and independence.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring that every pupil feels included, supported, and able to reach their potential, whether they have special educational needs (SEN), barriers to learning, or need a little extra encouragement in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support in lessons

  • Assist the class teacher with managing behaviour and engagement

  • Adapt learning materials to suit individual needs

  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families

  • Help track pupil progress and contribute to their development

We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people (in schools, care, or youth settings)

  • A patient, caring, and proactive attitude

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Willingness to support a range of needs, including SEND, SEMH, or EAL

  • A strong interest in education and inclusion

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
