Learning Support Assistant

An inspiring and supportive specialist school in Templecombe is seeking Learning Support Assistants to join their team from September 2025.

This is a flexible role, offering both full-time and part-time opportunities, perfect for someone committed to making a real impact in the lives of children with social, emotional and behavioural needs.

 

About the Role:
You’ll be working closely with pupils aged 6 to 13, supporting them both in and out of the classroom.

The role focuses on building strong, trusting relationships and helping pupils access learning through tailored, therapeutic, and creative approaches.

We’re Looking For:

  • A calm, empathetic and reliable approach

  • Experience with SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviour (preferred)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Passion for supporting children with complex needs

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
