Ad Hoc Teaching Assistant

A welcoming school in Frome is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to work on an ad hoc basis with SEN pupils. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is ready to make a difference in the lives of children who need extra support.
The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)

Assist with classroom activities, learning interventions and behaviour support

Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure inclusive learning

Build positive, trusting relationships with students

Be flexible to cover across various year groups as needed
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
-
Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic
-
Able to use initiative and adapt to changing classroom needs
-
Has (or willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
-
Open to ongoing training and professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
