Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking an ambitious, caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in a variety of schools with immediate effect. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain vast experience across a number of schools in Cornwall. 

You will work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This will involve assisting the teacher in the planning cycle and contributing to the preparation of resources. We welcome applications from candidates who are interested in a future career in teaching.

Applicants will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

• Have a practical approach to children's learning with strong ability to be creative and to use your initiative.
• Be able to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
• Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
