Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEN Schools – Southampton & New Forest
Through Teaching Personnel | Permanent Opportunity | 5 Days per Week

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant looking for a full-time, long-term role? Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with specialist SEN schools across Southampton and the New Forest who are seeking committed LSAs to join their teams on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs in nurturing, well-supported environments.

The Role:

  • Full-time position, 5 days per week
  • Long-term placements with the opportunity for permanent contracts
  • Supporting pupils with a range of complex additional needs
  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff

Experience & Skills (Desirable):
We welcome candidates with experience in:

  • Autism / Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Complex medical needs or personal care
  • Manual handling or hoist use
  • First Aid or medical support (e.g. PEG feeding)
  • Supporting non-verbal pupils or communication needs

While experience is beneficial, a positive attitude, resilience, and a genuine passion for SEN are essential.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Availability Monday to Friday (full-time)
  • Interest in long-term or permanent opportunities
  • Experience in SEN, care, or support settings (preferred)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
