Learning Support Assistant – SEN Primary Schools

Location: Southampton
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Full-time or Part-time
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in SEN primary schools across Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in the classroom.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or small group basis

  • Assist the class teacher with learning activities and behaviour support

  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

  • Support pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH

Requirements

  • Experience working with children (school, SEN, care, or similar settings preferred)

  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach

  • A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
