Learning Support Assistant – SEN Early Years Setting
Location: Southampton
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Full-time (Flexible hours)
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN Early Years setting in Southampton. This is an ASAP start role, available on either a full-term or part-term basis, supporting young children with a range of Special Educational Needs.

The Role:

  • Supporting children on a 1:1 or small group basis

  • Assisting with early learning, play-based activities, and developmental milestones

  • Supporting children’s communication, social, and emotional development

  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals

  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with young children (Early Years or SEN experience desirable but not essential)

  • A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs in their early development
