Learning Support Assistant – SEN Primary School
Location: Southampton
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Full-time (Flexible hours)
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN primary school in Southampton. This is an ASAP start role, available on either a full-term or part-term basis, supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis

  • Assisting pupils with their learning, communication, and social development

  • Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to support individual education plans

  • Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable but not essential)

  • Calm, patient, and adaptable approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
