Learning Support Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel is working with a specialist ASC school in the Manchester area to look for Learning Support Assistants that will be classroom based. The school works with young people ranging from the age of 4 to 19, although many students will be working to a lower level. The school is specifically designed to meet needs of the children that attend, and so has a variety of different facilities and equipment to provide a learning environment that is beneficial to all students.
To apply for this role, you should:
- Have experience working with young people with ASC or autistic traits
- Have experience working with young adults that display challenging behaviours
- Be calm, patient and enthusiastic
- Have some school experience
- Be available full time in the new academic year
The role itself will involve supporting students within a classroom with their work and behaviour. You will be working alongside teachers and other staff to provide a well rounded experience for students so that they are able to perform to the best of their ability.
The role is a full time position, so you must be available to work the full hours to ensure continuity for students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
