Job description

Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no 2 days are the same and are keen about making a positive impact on young people.

We are seeking Qualified and Passionate Teaching assistants to work in one of our SEN secondary schools in the Bury area. As a Teaching assistant you will be play an important role in supporting students with complex needs which include behaviour challenges, Mental Health needs and anxiety.

What you will be doing

-          Work with teachers to provide engaging learning experiences which cater to individuals needs

-          Provide 1:1 support to help students with their academic needs, emotional regulation and communication

-          Create and foster a safe and nurturing environment which promotes growth and healthy relationship building

-          Create resources for lessons which create an inspiring learning environment

-          Work with the staff team to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of the young people

You’re a great fit if you have

-          Prior experience working with young people in an education or care setting

-          A calm and collected approach to aid in de-escalation

-          Excellent communication and relationship building skills

-          A commitment to uphold safeguarding practices and protect the welfare of children

Requirements

-          2 years past employment references

-          Safeguarding training

-           An up-to-date DBS

-          UK right to work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
