LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT – FULL-TIME(40 HOURS) & PART-TIME(18 HOURS) WORK AVAILABLE

About the Role

We are recruiting two Learning Support Assistants to join a welcoming and forward-thinking education setting in Bournemouth. The environment is known for its nurturing, structured approach, strong staff teamwork and commitment to helping learners grow in confidence and independence. Opportunities are available for both full-time and part-time applicants, with immediate starts. You will support older secondary learners as they work towards further academic and personal development.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A minimum of six months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN needs

  • A warm, calm and encouraging approach

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to act as a consistent role model

  • A full driving licence, due to the location of the setting

  • The ability to work full-time or part-time, depending on the vacancy

 

Role Information 

  • Applicants should be enthusiastic about supporting young people and ready to act as steady, positive influences within the learning community.

  • While previous classroom experience is helpful, a strong attitude, commitment and willingness to learn are the most important qualities.

  • The role involves assisting with curriculum delivery up to Level 3, helping students engage positively, meeting personal care needs where required and working collaboratively with tutors and external professionals.

  • You will help establish productive relationships, maintain high expectations and support personalised learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
