A well-regarded secondary school in the Trafford area is looking for a Learning Mentor to start with them from September. The successful Learning Mentor will be working with the new cohort of year 7 students, supporting them with the transition to high school, and back into structured education, ensuring they are supported in all aspects of learning and school life, particularly given the school closures.

If you are confident in working with young people and have any relevant or transferable experience which would be useful in supporting students aged 11/12 then please apply now.

Highlights of this Learning Mentor position:

  • Competitive pay rate with earning potential up to GBP1630 per month
  • Full time Learning Mentor position starting from September
  • Work alongside a committed team of assistants and support staff
  • Co-educational secondary school located in the Trafford area

The Learning Mentor will primarily be supporting the new cohort of year 7 students but have the opportunity to also work with some of the older students that require support within the classroom.

Applications highly encouraged from:

  • Existing Learning Mentors, Behaviour Mentors
  • Youth workers with experience working with challenging students
  • Graduates with experience of working with special educational needs
  • Male role models such as sports coaches looking to work in the education sector
  • Learning Support Assistants looking to work in a secondary school setting

This school is situated in Trafford close to the M60 and M56. Sale, Stretford, Altrincham, Didsbury and Chorlton, are all close by with the central Metrolink also servicing the school well for those that travel via public transport. If you are a Learning Mentor who drives, then the school is very easy to get to being on a main transport route with an on-site secure car park.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
