Job description
Job Title: Learning Mentor.
Location: Coppull, Chorley.
Working Hours: 8.45am - 15.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Job Type: Full-Time.
Pay Rate: £12.90 - £13.50.

Do you have the skills and experience necessary to support children across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) in accessing the curriculum and overcoming challenges? Primary Responsibilities:
As a Learning Mentor your primary responsibility will be to provide invaluable support to children who are struggling to access the curriculum. Your role will involve assisting these students in overcoming barriers to learning and ensuring they reach their full potential. You will also play a crucial role in managing challenging behaviour’s, making your experience in behaviour management highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Students: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who require additional assistance to engage with the curriculum effectively.
Behaviour Management: Work proactively to manage challenging behaviour’s and establish a positive and productive learning environment.
Mentoring: Offer emotional and academic support to students, fostering their personal and academic growth.
Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create customized learning plans for students.
Progress Monitoring: Track and assess the progress of students, adapting your strategies as needed to ensure their success.
Record-keeping: Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress to inform future interventions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and experience in working with challenging behaviours.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable nature.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development are a plus.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and well-being.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
