General Teaching Assistant – Full Time (KS1) – PR3, Preston
Start Date: April 2026
Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour
Location: PR3 Area, Preston
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Are you looking for a rewarding role supporting young learners in a vibrant primary school? We are currently recruiting for a General Teaching Assistant to work across Key Stage 1 in a welcoming and well‑resourced primary school in the PR3 area of Preston.
About the Role
As a General TA, you will work alongside class teachers to support children’s learning, provide small‑group interventions, and help create a positive, engaging classroom environment. This full‑time role is due to start April 2026 and is ideal for someone who is proactive, energetic, and passionate about helping children succeed.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting children in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential
- A proactive, positive, and energetic approach to supporting pupils and staff
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine interest in working with children in Key Stage 1
- Reliability and enthusiasm for working in a primary school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
