We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support within a Year 6 (KS2) classroom at a welcoming and highly regarded Primary School in Preston.

This is a full-time, term-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:15pm.

About the Role:
Year 6 is a pivotal stage in pupils’ education, and this role is ideally suited to a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant who can provide high-quality classroom support. You will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils academically and emotionally, helping them prepare for the transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting teaching and learning across the Year 6 curriculum
• Providing targeted support in Maths and English
• Working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis where required
• Assisting with SATs preparation and intervention sessions
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare, Teaching Assistant, or a relevant field
• Proven experience supporting within a KS2 classroom
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 Maths and English curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach
