Job Description:
- Supporting individual learners and small groups on the classroom setting
- Providing learning support outside of the classroom setting
- Attending to the individual needs of individual learners throughout the day
- Supporting learners in developing their personal and social skills
- Supporting learners in accessing work experience placements
- Promoting the integration of higher needs learners within the wider learner group
- Working as part of a team to ensure that learners achieve their learning and development goals Please note that all applicants are expected to have or willing to complete a Child Workforce DBS and register with the Update service!
Teaching Personnel are looking for committed individuals with experience of effectively supporting young people with learning disabilities in a number of settings including the classroom the work setting and excursions. A proven ability to empathise with and relate to young people with higher needs is essential. So too is the ability to work as part of a team. As a minimum, candidates must be educated to grade C or above in GCSE English and mathematics.
