LAC Tutors - Manchester

Are you currently working as a Teacher looking for flexible working hours?

LEA's based in Greater Manchester are currently looking to appoint multiple primary and secondary Tutors who have a passion for supporting pupils with SEMH needs.

In order to be considered for the role you need to have:

• A personable approach and can do attitude
• High levels of physical and emotional resilience
• A knowledge of creative approaches to the curriculum
• A desire to work with LAC pupils and support those with SEMH needs

Tuition could take place in the young person's home, their residential care home, or an agreed public venue. The young people may have a variety of Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, and could display challenging behaviour and have barriers to their learning. They could be extremely disengaged with education, and working at much lower levels than expected. Experience with young people of this nature would be beneficial - you must be able to build trust and rapport easily and be able to tap into what motivates them, as well as having the subject knowledge.
