Job description

Job Title: KS3 Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Greys

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to Key Stage 3 students in Maths, English and Science
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback
  • Create tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students
  • Monitor and track student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive educational experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with Key Stage 3 students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 curriculum
  • Proficient in classroom management techniques
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Good organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience with virtual learning platforms

Working Conditions:

The role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing tutoring services to Key Stage 3 students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
