Job description

Job Title: KS3/4 Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Harlow

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide academic support and tutoring to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to students' individual needs
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback to help them improve
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students in Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Effective classroom management techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
