KS3/4 PMLD Teaching Assistant - part time, Bedale

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist school in Bedale to recruit a personable and dedicated teaching assistant for a small class group across Key Stage 3 and 4. The role will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis, however there is a strong potential for a permanent position for the right candidate. The hours worked will be flexible, although always averaging three days a week. You will be working alongside a team of experienced professionals, in an OFSTED rated 'Good' school with brilliant facilities, such as a sensory garden and their own farm! You will be working with students with profound and multiple learning difficulties therefore will have a strong understanding of SEN.

Ideally, the candidate will be moving and handling qualified although this can be provided to you through Teaching Personnel's CPD opportunities. The candidate will have a passion for improving life skills of students, and believe in the importance of improving their personal well as well as assisting in curriculum based learning.

The ideal candidate will have:

- At least three months experience in an SEND environment

- Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or relevant experience)
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- A patient and caring attitude
