Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a reputable mainstream Primary School located in Skelmersdale. We are currently working closely with the SENCO and Headteacher of this fantastic Primary School to source a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child in Lower KS2. The Headteacher is looking for nothing less than an INSPIRATIONAL Teaching Assistant to start in school from April 2019 or SOONER. This is a new role therefore the school are looking for a practitioner who is interested in a permanent role in school.

Hours - 8:45 - 15:30 with 30 minute lunch break. This role is FIVE DAYS per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who has experience working alongside children with complex needs and experiences supporting 'hard to reach pupils'. We are considering candidates who have Youth Work Experience, Residential Care Experience or Nursery Experience.

In order to be considered you must have…

  • Experience working alongside young children within the past 12 months.
  • Minimum Level 2+ childcare relate qualification.
  • An open minded and patient attitude with the ability to build positive relationships with children.
  • Have a passion for delivering high quality education for each child.
  • Five day availability.

This school has idyllic surroundings and serves a pleasant catchment area; behaviour in school is generally good due to the robust behaviour policy developed by the Senior Leadership Team over a number of years. The Headteacher has an 'open door' policy is always open to ideas that will contribute toward School Improvement. The Headteacher is well respected by staff in school and has an excellent reputation within the local area.

This role is to support a child in Lower KS2 with moderate to severe learning difficulties during the mornings and then during the afternoons this will be a general class support role in KS2. The child often displays challenging behaviours; therefore Team Teach training would be advantageous but not essential.

In order to be considered please contact Chloe in the Teaching Personnel Lancashire Office via telephone on 01772 842154 or email a copy of your most recent CV with your TA or Childcare related Experience. We are able to offer competitive rates of pay for these roles starting at £9 per hour; we also pay on a weekly basis directly into your bank account (no need for umbrella companies).
