1:1 Tutor - NG2 Nottingham
Location: NG2, Nottingham
Hours: Part-Time, School Hours (Weekdays)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience and qualifications
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1 Tutor to provide tailored educational support to learners in the NG2 area of Nottingham. This rewarding role involves delivering personalised tuition during weekday school hours, helping students build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to individual learning needs.
- Support students in core subjects, including English, Maths, and other curriculum areas where required.
- Plan and adapt lessons to suit different abilities and learning styles.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Build positive and supportive relationships with students, families, and relevant professionals.
- Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
- Ability to deliver personalised and differentiated learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or relevant teaching/tutoring qualification.
- Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or those out of mainstream education.
- Previous experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
- Knowledge of EHCPs and targeted intervention strategies.
