Job description
IT Technician – Greater London & Essex
We are seeking a proactive and motivated IT Technician to join a central Trust IT team supporting multiple schools across Greater London and Essex. You will provide technical support to staff, students and visitors, working across different school sites and supporting a wide range of IT systems and equipment.

Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Requirement: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for PCs, laptops, mobile devices and software
- Install, configure and troubleshoot computer hardware and Windows operating systems
- Set up and support AV equipment, projectors and video conferencing systems
- Manage Active Directory accounts and password resets
- Assist with network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi and physical connectivity
- Maintain accurate IT asset, software and equipment records
- Support schools with day-to-day IT issues and technical queries
- Follow health, safety and IT security procedures
Skills & Experience:
- Experience providing 1st and 2nd line IT support
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory and Microsoft 365/Office 365
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and basic networking
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience within an educational environment would be desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
