KS2 SEN TA - Ilford Independent School

If you are interested in a support TA role at a very prestigious independent school based in Ilford then look no further. Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Year 3 Learning Support Assistant to work with a pupil that has SEN. This school is a great place to develop your Teaching Skills further and there will be lots of CPD courses internally & externally.

The Position

You will be supporting a friendly Year 3 girl who is on the Autistic Spectrum and has Moderate Learning Difficulties. Helping to develop her Reading and Writing skills is important as sometimes she can struggle with fine motor skills. Being creative and bringing a breath of fresh air to her learning are key to keep the pupil engaged with learning. Building up communication skills and helping her form bonds with the pupils are equally important.

The idea is that this role will continue for the foreseeable future. Hours will be 8:30-4pm on Monday to Friday and it will be a long term contract until the end of the academic year if successful. Pay will be between £60-£70 per day depending on experience.

To Be Successful

Candidates with the following are more likely to be shortlisted:

  • Undergraduate Degree or Childhood Related Qualification.
  • Background in a similar SEN role working with a pupil that has Autism.
  • Preferably experience working in another Independent school with high expectations.

Next Steps

If shortlisted you will receive a call back within 4 working days of applying to the job role.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Registration is subject to an Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service), valid references from recent employers and proof of right to work in the UK (AGY).

We look forward to hearing from you!
