Job Duties:
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, your main responsibilities will include supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons to Key Stage 1 students. You will assist in preparing classroom materials, supervising activities, and providing one-to-one support to pupils who require additional help. Additionally, you will contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in Education or Teaching Assistance
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working in a similar role within a primary school setting is desirable
Knowledge and Skills:
- Good understanding of the KS1 curriculum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
Working Conditions:
You will be working within a primary school setting, assisting teachers in the Key Stage 1 classes. This role is part-time, with expected working hours per day. The work environment may involve standing for long periods, interacting with children, and supporting classroom activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
