Job Duties

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 1 children
  • Assess and record pupils' progress, providing feedback to parents and senior staff
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching strategies
  • Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and training sessions

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience

Previous experience teaching Key Stage 1 pupils is preferred

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of child development and learning styles
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Proficiency in using educational technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience working in a diverse school environment

Working Conditions

  • Work in a school setting with regular classroom hours
  • May involve occasional evening or weekend work for school events
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support pupil learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
