About the School

Situated in Garston and part of a highly regarded Church of England multi-academy trust, this welcoming primary school caters for children aged 2–11 and benefits from a well-established nursery and strong early years provision. The school currently has approximately 230 pupils on roll within a purpose-built setting designed for 210 pupils.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Key Stage 1 Teacher (Reception, Year 1 or Year 2) to join this nurturing and aspirational school community. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and creative lessons across KS1, adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs, and contribute to the school’s excellent standards of behaviour and pupil wellbeing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
  • Assess, track and support pupil progress, including providing targeted support for pupils with SEN
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity, confidence and outstanding behaviour
  • Work closely with parents, colleagues and external professionals to support every child’s development

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Key Stage 1
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and inclusive teaching practice
  • Has experience supporting pupils with additional or special educational needs
  • Is a confident communicator, committed team player and passionate about children’s learning and wellbeing
