A Primary School in Wavertree is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join their welcoming KS1 team from September 2026. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact on pupils at a crucial stage of their learning journey.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to develop their practice with the support of a nurturing and experienced staff team.

The Role

As a KS1 Classroom Teacher (Year 1), you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the Year 1 curriculum
  • Creating a stimulating, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
  • Using effective differentiation strategies to meet the needs of all learners
  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to support positive outcomes
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and wider staff to enhance learning
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school, including participation in extracurricular activities where appropriate

We are looking for a teacher who is:

  • Passionate about KS1 education and child-centred learning
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
  • Keen to develop professionally within a supportive school setting
  • Confident in building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Motivated, reflective and enthusiastic about continuous improvement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
