Classroom Teacher – KS1 (Year 1)
Wavertree Primary School, L15
Salary: £155 – £220 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: September 2026
Year Group: Year 1 (KS1)
A Primary School in Wavertree is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join their welcoming KS1 team from September 2026. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact on pupils at a crucial stage of their learning journey.
We welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to develop their practice with the support of a nurturing and experienced staff team.

The Role
As a KS1 Classroom Teacher (Year 1), you will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the Year 1 curriculum
- Creating a stimulating, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
- Using effective differentiation strategies to meet the needs of all learners
- Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to support positive outcomes
- Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and wider staff to enhance learning
- Contributing to the wider life of the school, including participation in extracurricular activities where appropriate

We are looking for a teacher who is:
- Passionate about KS1 education and child-centred learning
- Committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
- Keen to develop professionally within a supportive school setting
- Confident in building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Motivated, reflective and enthusiastic about continuous improvement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
