KS1 Special Needs Teacher

Job description

The role is available from September 2020 , it will then continue on an ongoing basis where the successful applicant will be given the opportunity to gain a permanent contract. You will also need a Full UK Driving License and own transport, due to the location of the school.

The specialist school caters for pupils between 5 – 19 years with complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and profound and multiple learning difficulties.

  • You will teach a KS1 primary class, which will involve planning and marking as well as attending parent consultations and other events/staff meetings as and when required. Work as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, plan and deliver inclusive and engaging lessons for children between the ages of 5-7 years.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

Teaching Personnel can offer access to several CPD courses, both relating to SEN and Mainstream teaching. This includes diplomas in Dyslexia and Autism. We also offer teaching resources via our online portal, along with ongoing support from your personal, dedicated consultant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
