Key Stage 3 TA needed ASAP

We are working on behalf of a 'Good' School in the Belper area of Derbyshire (DE56). The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within their SEN school.

The school are looking for a positive role model for a KS3 female student. The Teaching Assistant will also work within a small KS3 group.

The school caters for students with high functioning Autism.

The ideal candidate:

• An up to date working knowledge of the KS3 curriculum
• Experienced working with children on the Autistic spectrum (this is desirable but NOT essential - most of the children in this class are verbal but have impaired communication)
• Will be able to differentiate towards a mixed ability group of students on the autism spectrum
• Will want to get involved in any extra-curricular activities or enrichment events that take place within the school
• Will be willing and able to liaise effectively with a multi-disciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapists
• Will be committed and dedicated to the role in order to provide continuity and predictability for the students
