Key Stage 2

Full time role

Teaching Personnel are working with a Primary School in Poole, who is looking for a Year 6 teacher to join their team in September 2020 until April 2021. As of April, there will be an opportunity in school to plan and deliver SATS booster sessions outside of the classroom.

You would be teaching a class of 27 pupils with two teaching assistants in class; one supports a child on a 1:1 basis with Autism and the other is a general teaching assistant who works closely with particular groups of children during core subjects. Most of the children are working at age related expectation. The Head Teacher has stressed the main teaching target would be to prepare the children and to raise their attainment leading up towards their SATS.


The school are seeking:

  • An individual with the commitment to driving standards
  • A teacher with experience of raising attainment of all pupils
  • A professional who can work in partnership with parents
  • An excellent communicator who enjoys working as part of a team

The ideal candidate:

  • Primary Teacher - Fully Qualified Teacher or NQT
  • Available to work from September 2020 until April 2021/ July 2021
  • Able to provide 2 relevant references
  • Must have or be willing to apply for a Child Workforce DBS
  • Must be able to plan and delivering engaging lessons

  • End date: April 2021/ July 2021
  • Full time/ Temporary
  • Poole
  • Salary GBP100 - GBP160 per day (varies depending upon experience)
